Brookhaven Volleyball Begins Season Aug. 22

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven's volleyball team will open the 2025 season at the Fort Scott Invite Aug. 22.

The Bears will play four matches in Fort Scott, Kansas to begin the season, beginning with host Fort Scott Community College. They'll also see Seminole State College, Labette Community College and Independence Community College over the two-day weekend tournament.

Brookhaven's home opener is Aug. 26 against Collin College. It is the first of eight home matches for the Bears.

After a road match against Rose State College Aug. 29 and a home match against Panola College Sept. 2, Brookhaven will compete in the North Central Texas College Invitational Sept. 5-6 against the likes of Blinn College, McCook Community College, Panola College and Wharton County Junior College. The Bears will play Clarendon College and Collin College on Sept. 8 in McKinney, Texas. Brookhaven returns home Sept. 13 to meet Rose State before meeting Panola and Vernon College on the road, Sept. 15 and Sept. 19, respectively.

The Dallas Athletic Conference opener is set for Sept. 22 at home against two-time defending National Junior College Athletic Association Division III national champion Dallas College Eastfield. The first road conference match is Sept. 25 at Dallas College Cedar Valley. Brookhaven also hosts Dallas College North Lake (Sept. 29) and Dallas College Richland (Oct. 6) in the first round of league play.

The Bears begin the second round of DAC matches at Eastfield Oct. 9. They host Cedar Valley Oct. 13 and Dallas College Mountain View Oct. 20, and finish the regular season at Richland Oct. 23.

The NJCAA Division III District Tournament is scheduled for Oct. 29-Nov. 1.
