Trevino Named DAC Volleyball Player of Week

Kelsey Trevino was named the Dallas Athletic Conference volleyball Player of the Week.

Dallas College Brookhaven's Kelsey Trevino was named the Dallas Athletic Conference volleyball Player of the Week.

A freshman outside hitter from Corpus Christi, Texas, Trevino had a pair of double-doubles as the Bears won both matches last week.

Trevino pounded 28 kills in 64 swings, and had 29 digs and a block as the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III No. 6-ranked Bears won their 11th consecutive match. She had 10 kills, 14 digs and a block in a three-set sweep of Dallas College Eastfield. Trevino pounded 18 kills, had 15 digs and hit .342 in a four-set win over Dallas College Mountain View.

Trevino has 251 kills and 340 digs this season.

The Bears (19-9, 8-0 DAC) will finish the regular season at Dallas College Richland 6 p.m. Monday and at home versus Dallas College Cedar Valley 6 p.m. Thursday for Sophomore Night.
