Stewart Named CSC Second Team Academic All-American®

FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven women's soccer player Emma Stewart was named a College Sports Communicator Second Team Academic All-American®.

A sophomore midfielder from Arlington, Texas, Stewart had a 4.0 grade point average, while pursuing a nursing degree.

She was a United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Region and a First Team All-Dallas Athletic Conference after scoring six goals and recording four assists for 16 points. She had two gamewinning goals.

Stewart was named the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Player of the Week on Oct. 8 after collecting the DAC Player of the Week two days earlier.

The CSC Academic All-America® program is nominated and voted on by the nation's athletic communications directors across the country and Canada.
