Bears Meet Mohawk Valley in National Tournament

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Brookhaven women's soccer team will open the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Tournament Tuesday against Mohawk Valley Community College.

The No. 2 Bears (14-1-2) are making their ninth national tournament appearance. They finished third last year, following three straight titles and five overall.

Mohawk Valley (10-4) is off to its NJCAA Division III-most 13th national tournament appearance.

Brookhaven has 12 shutouts this year, which is tied for the national lead. Mohawk Valley has six clean sheets.

Ava Little leads the Bears with 24 points on six goals and 12 assists. Justine Garnica has nine goals and five assists. Ariana Chavira has eight goals and five assists. Emma Stewart, Alyssa Young and Megan Garcia each have six goals. Miranda Estrada is 14-1-2 with nine solo shutouts and three combined clean sheets and a 0.46 goals against average.

Ryan Colton has 24 goals and 10 assists for the Hawks. Amanda Graziano has nine goals and six assists. Isabella Kleban has eight goals and nine assists. McKenna Coffey is 7-0-0 with one solo shutout and four combined clean sheets. Mackenzi Stevens has a 1.44 goals against average and four combined shutouts.
