Murillo Named NJCAA DIII Player of Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Brookhaven women's soccer's Gracie Murillo was named the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Player of the Week.

A sophomore forward from Carrollton, Texas, Murillo had two goals had two assists in No. 2 Brookhaven's 7-0 win at Dallas College Mountain View as the Bears won their first conference game of the season. It was Murillo's first multi-goal game this year and the second of her career – both against Mountain View.

Her six points against the Lions is a career high.

Murillo had six shots in each of the two games last week, including the scoreless draw at then ninth-ranked Dallas College Cedar Valley.

Brookhaven (4-2-2, 2-0-2 DAC) plays at Dallas College Richland (5-2-0, 3-1-0) at 7 p.m. Friday.
