Roman Voted DAC Newcomer of Year
Dallas College Brookhaven men's basketball's Jeremy Roman was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year.
Roman earned First Team All-DAC acclaim, while Bears teammate Zach Gomez was a Second Team choice.
A freshman guard/forward from Porter, Texas, Roman averaged 14.8 points and six rebounds, while shooting 53.6 percent from the floor.
A sophomore guard from New Braunfels, Texas, Gomez averaged 12.1 points, 3.1 assists and 3.4 rebounds, while shooting 40.8 percent from three-point range.
The Bears went 10-21, advancing to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District quarterfinals.
