Nichols Collects Gold Glove Award®

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Dallas College Brookhaven outfielder Nash Nichols was named a National Junior College Athletic Association Division III American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings Gold Glove Award® winner.

A sophomore from Waxahachie, Texas, Nichols had a .993 fielding percentage in 53 games this season. He had 131 putouts and five assists, with one error in 137 total chances. In his Brookhaven two-year career, Nichols recorded a .962 fielding percentage with nine errors in 235 fielding opportunities over 102 games.

Nichols batted .274 with five home runs, 10 doubles, three triples, 26 runs batted in, 26 stolen bases and 40 runs scored this season. He was a career .279 hitter with 92 hits at Brookhaven.
