IRVING, Texas – Dallas College Brookhaven's Aidan Corey was named the final Dallas Athletic Conference Player of the Week this season.

A freshman third baseman from Katy, Texas, Corey batted .700, going 7 for 10 with a double, home run, two runs scored and two walks as No. 15 Brookhaven swept a three-game series from No. 3 Dallas College Eastfield to end the regular season. He went 4 for 4 with a solo homer in the series-opening 6-1 victory at Eastfield. Corey was 2 for 3 with a double in the 5-2 Game 2 win. He was 1 for 3 in the 4-2 win in the series finale.

Corey is hitting .297 with five home runs, 10 doubles, a triple, 39 RBI and 10 stolen bases this season.

Brookhaven (32-24) will host Mountain View (13-38) at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the single-elimination round of the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III South Central District Tournament.
