Simpson Named DAC Offensive Player of Week

Dallas College Brookhaven's Tucker Simpson was selected as the Dallas Athletic Conference baseball Offensive Player of the Week.

A sophomore first baseman from Montgomery, Texas, Simpson batted .500 with two doubles, a home run, four RBI and four runs scored in three games last week against Paris Junior College. He went 5-for-10, and walked once.

Simpson was 2-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in the season opener at Paris Friday. He collected two hits, and scored a run in the home opener Saturday. He doubled in his only plate appearance in the second game against Paris Saturday.

Brookhaven is scheduled to host Johnson County Community College Thursday and Friday in a three-game series. The Bears will play a doubleheader at Cisco College Saturday.
